For the third year in a row Catholic Central will face Cass Tech as it drives toward its goal of becoming D1 Football State Champions for the 11th time under the guidance of Coach Tom Mach. CC defeated an emotionally charged Bedford team as the Mules played with determination before what appeared to be the entire city of Bedford in honor of #3 Colton Durbin. The Shamrocks were down 33-28 with 30 seconds left in the 4th when #11 Birney connected on a short pass to #88 Coccocetta to take the lead by 1 for what turned out to be the final score of the game.
CC plays Cass Tech on Saturday at 1PM at Troy Athens High School. The winner advances to play the winner of the Carmen-Ainsworth v Clarkston game for the State title on Saturday November 30th at Ford Field.
