Crime Report: $900 Worth of Items Stolen from Woman's Car; Building Wall Damaged
The following information was supplied by the Novi Police Department for the period of Oct. 6-9. Arrests do not indicate a conviction.

A woman said several items were stolen from her Volkswagen Jetta sometime between 8 p.m. Oct. 8 and 6 p.m. Oct. 9 while it was parked on Warley Court, according to a police report. The report said her Passat car key, Garmin GPS worth $300, iPhone car charger worth $20, iPhone radio cable worth $50 and Chanel sunglasses worth $575 were stolen. She discovered the items were missing after she noticed that her glove compartment was open, the report said.
Apartment building wall damaged
The drywall in Building 20 at Beachwalk Apartments was damaged when someone gouged it with an unknown object sometime between 6 p.m. Oct. 8 and 9 a.m. Oct. 9, according to a police report. The damage totaled about $500. There are no suspects or witnesses at this time, the report said.
Operating while intoxicated
A woman was arrested on charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated at 2:15 a.m. Oct. 9, according to a police report. Police pulled her over near Lannys Road and Grand River Avenue after noticing her taillight and brake light were broken, the report said. According to the report, the woman had a blood-alcohol content of 0.092, which is over Michigan’s legal limit of 0.08.

A man was arrested on charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated just before midnight Oct. 9, according to a police report. The police were dispatched after someone noticed the driver was driving with his front bumper hanging loose, the report said. The man was stopped at 12 Mile and Novi roads and had a blood-alcohol content of 0.24, the report said.
Another man was arrested on charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated at 2:15 a.m. Oct. 6, according to a police report. An officer pulled the man over after he made an illegal turn on red from westbound Grand River Avenue onto Novi Road, the report said. The man had a blood-alcohol content of 0.19, the report said.
