Crime Report: Two Men Arrested on Marijuana Charges
The following information was supplied by the Novi Police Department for the period of Sept. 28 through Oct.1. Arrests do not indicate a conviction.

The passenger of a car was arrested for possession of marijuana and possession of a dangerous weapon at 7:50 p.m. on Oct. 1, according to a police report. A police officer pulled over the vehicle for going 54 mph in a 40-mph zone on Grand River Avenue near Novi Road, the report said. Brass knuckles and 1.2 grams of marijuana were found in the car, which the passenger said were his, the report said. The man said he was a medical marijuana patient, but he did not have his registration card on him, the report said.
In a separate incident, a man was arrested for operating a vehicle while in the presence of drugs and possession of marijuana at 11:30 p.m. on Oct. 1, according to a police report. A police officer stopped the driver after he ran through the flashing red light on Nine Mile and Meadowbrook roads, the report said. The driver admitted that he had smoked marijuana half an hour ago, and the police found 1.3 grams of the drug and a smoking pipe in the car, the report said.
Operating While Intoxicated
A man was arrested on charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated at 11:30 p.m. on Sept. 28, according to a police report. The report said that an officer stopped the man at Grand River Avenue and Beck Road after he was drifting out of his lane. According to the report, the man had a blood-alcohol content of 0.144, which is over Michigan’s legal driving limit of 0.08.
