Crime Report: Vehicle Damaged While Being Towed; Car Parts Stolen
The following arrest information was supplied by the Novi Police Department for the period of Aug. 10-15. It does not indicate a conviction.

Vehicle window damaged during towing
At 10:30 p.m. Monday, a driver from Hadley’s Towing was traveling eastbound on 10 Mile Road, transporting a minivan on a flatbed from the to the impound lot, when an object was thrown at the minivan, according to a police report. The driver said he heard a loud noise, so he pulled over, the report said. He found the rear window on the passenger side had been smashed by the object, but he did not know whether the object was thrown from a vehicle or by someone on the roadside, the report said.
Car parts, landscape lights stolen
All four wheels and rims were stolen from a Chevrolet Camaro parked on Picnic Court on Aug. 10, according to a police report. An officer who was investigating a separate larceny nearby was searching the area for other larcenies when he discovered the Camaro with parts missing, the report said.
The report said lug nuts were found on the ground near the Camaro, but officers were unable to locate its owner at the time.
Later Aug. 10, a woman reported her vehicle’s four wheel covers were stolen from her 2008 Cadillac in the parking lot on Novi Road, according to a police report. The wheel covers are worth approximately $100 each, the report said.

A woman reported Monday that four to six black landscape lights of unknown value were stolen from her residence on Galway Drive, according to a police report. Whoever took the lights also rubbed dog feces on her car, the report said. The police have no suspects or witnesses, according to the report.
