Get To Know Novi Public Library - Jesse Schenk

Everything old is new again as we get to know one our "newest" librarians Jesse!

1.     What is your name, and title?

Jesse Schenk – Information Services Librarian

2.     How long have you been employed at NPL?

Currently since August, but I worked here previously for five years.

3.     Would you please describe your job? (in a nutshell)

I purchase the audio books for all ages including the Playaway versions.  I also work the information desk and provide reference and readers advisory assistance.

4.     What book are you reading at the moment and what is a recent title you enjoyed?

I am currently reading The Signature of All Things by Elizabeth Gilbert and I really enjoyed Cutting for Stone by Abraham Verghese.

5.     What would you do if you won the lottery?

Quit my job? (laughs) Have fun and travel.

6.     If you could be any fictional character who would it be?

Sherlock Holmes.  It would be fun to solve crimes and unravel mysteries.  Although he is a bit crazy.
