Man Accused of Stealing Hundreds of Dollars from Disabled Girl Scout
Police say a man grabbed a cash box from a wheelchair-bound Girl Scout, getting away with the proceeds of that day's cookie sales.

Police in Lansing are looking for a man who allegedly stole hundreds of dollars from a disabled Girl Scout who was selling cookies outside a Kmart store Sunday.
The girl, a Juliette – meaning she is the only member of her Girl Scout troop – uses a wheelchair for mobility, according to a report from MLive.com.
Her mother, 49, told Lansing police she walked away to retrieve something from her car in the parking lot, where she saw the man go behind the table set up for cookie sales and grab the cash box she said contained “hundreds of dollars” from that day’s cookie sales.

She reportedly yelled at the man to stop, but he fled the parking lot in an extended cab Dodge Dakota pickup with damage to the rear bumper and no license plate, according to the police report.

Police have been unable to locate the vehicle, believed to be a late 1990s or early 2000 model.
The suspect is described as a black male in his late 20s, and 5-feet, 8-inches tall and 220 pounds. He was wearing a dark blue or black jacket, red shirt, blue jeans and white shoes.
