Following a television segment on TV 20 Detroit featuring Logan Bry, a 13-year-old with arthritis, the local Cutco Kitchen Store in Novi, held a recent fundraiser for the local Arthritis Foundation. Logan is the son of Jeff Bry, the Midwest Regional Manager for Vector Marketing, which is the exclusive distributor for Cutco products.

The two-hour event raised almost $1,000 for this worthy cause.

“We were thrilled to schedule this event as a way to help children with arthritis,” said Ken Coker, manager of the Cutco Kitchen, located at 43215 Grand River in Novi. “Logan is a courageous young man and we’re proud of him and his willingness to bring an awareness to the needs of the Arthritis Foundation. It is such a worthwhile organization and the Cutco family was happy to do our small part in helping out.”

Coker added that many of those in attendance are regular Cutco customers who took the time to visit the store that evening and contribute to this worthy cause.

“In addition to our customers, area Vector sales reps also came by to support Logan and his family,” said Coker. “This is a very close-knit company and employees, managers, and sales reps always chip in to help in any way they can.”

Cutco sells its product primarily through a network of college students who sell through in-home personal demonstrations. In recent years, the company began a new sales initiative by opening stores in markets that have a history of strong of sales. The Novi store opened about a year ago and is now one of eight locations throughout the country.

“The opening of stores is a way for us to re-connect with customers who may have lost touch with their college sales reps,” said Coker. “The stores have also been an effective way for us to introduce customers to products and use them in our store.”
