• Michigan State Fair stepping up livestock precautions after swine flu case (wkar.org) — Livestock leaders are tightening biosecurity at the Michigan State Fair, which will be held Labor Day weekend at Novi's Vibe Credit Union Showplace. With on-site veterinarians, isolation areas, constant monitoring, and strict hygiene rules, organizers aim to protect animals and visitors after a swine flu case at the Kent County Fair while still welcoming families to learn about agriculture.
