Photos: Novi Children Enjoy Concert in Fuerst Park
Children's musician Tom Seley entertains families with original songs Tuesday.
Children, parents and grandparents donned their sunbonnets and sunglasses as they gathered in for a concert Tuesday.
Royal Oak's Tom Seley and sideman Sidi Henderson got the crowd clapping and snapping along with Seley's original children's songs and even encouraged some children to take center stage and dance.
Seley, a third and fourth grade teacher in Birmingham, began writing songs for children and performing them throughout the area three years ago after noticing there was a lack of music for children too old for "Old MacDonald," but too young for Top 40.

He recently produced his second CD, Cupcakeasaurus, which follows in his style of keeping music funny and entertaining.
"Kids are told so many things so many times," he said, which is why his music isn't about teaching or educationally-driven, but getting kids laughing and simply having fun.
