Shamrock Wrestling Rolls to 18th Straight Title

CC continues to dominate Catholic High School League wrestling.

The Shamrocks wrestling team White squad traveled to U of D Jesuit High School on Saturday and captured CC’s 18th straight Catholic High School League title. The Shamrocks placed 11 wrestlers in the final pairings and came away with six Champions on their way to racking up 279.5 points to win the Team Title. 

Winning individual titles were seniors Zack Colone and Alex Goings. Following the seniors leadership were four juniors who also earned individual titles: Chris Naubert, JT Ayotte, Bob Coe and David Lilley. Runner-up awards went to senior Casey Hagen; junior Mike Babicz; sophomores Parker O’Brien and Eli Joseph; and freshman Nick Giese.

The Shamrocks return to action on Thursday as the Blue and White squads join forces to compete in the MHSAA Team Districts against the host team Novi Wildcats. The winner will go against the victor of the Northville vs. Walled Lake Western match. Competition begins at 5:30 pm at .
