Well right now it is Sunday night and we are getting hammered with snow. The snow is coming down hard and we are supposed to get another 3 or 4 inches. If you have your home up for sale what are you supposed to do.
The first step you need to take is to take care of the snow. Shovel the walks, and the driveway. Make it so the buyers can get in and out of their car easily. After you shovel the walk make sure the walks and driveway are safe. Keep them salted and safe.
Other things you should do after a heavy snow storm you may want to shake some of the heavy snow off the bushes. If you do not the heavy snow may break the branches or permanently disfigure the bushes or shrubs.
Another thing you should do is get a snow rake and pull some of the snow off your roof line. This will help you from getting an ice dam and water coming into your home. That would be a major issue if that happens during the home inspection or during the walk through.
I hope these little winter home selling tips help you through our little storm of 2014. If you are looking for your next home you can go to my website http://www.michiganlakerealestatehomes.com and use the search feature. It is a lake real estate site but it has a great search feature to find the latest homes that have been listed.
