Vandals Damage Toy Soldier Decoration in Novi

A resident on Drakes Bay Drive found the life-sized solider's body on the street, and its head in the driveway.

A resident on Drakes Bay Drive contacted Novi Police Sunday morning, after finding a 5-foot toy soldier Christmas decoration had been attacked by vandals. 

According to the report, the toy soldier moved and played music. The damage occurred sometime between midnight and 10:30 a.m., when the resident found the body of the decoration in the street and its head in the driveway. 

Larceny reported

A woman contacted police late Saturday morning, after someone took her iPhone, shampoo, conditioner, lotion and makeup remover from her unlocked locker at Powerhouse Gym. According to the report, the woman stored her items at around 5:30 a.m. and realized while she was working out that she had forgotten to secure the locker.

After discovering the missing items, she asked front desk workers to call police, and when she returned to the locker room, she found her iPhone had been replaced, but the toiletries were still missing. Police later learned that a second woman in the locker room, who spoke to the victim, had a number of contacts with police, including an arrest in Novi.
