Woman's Car Spray Painted While Shopping; Counterfeit $100 Bill Found

A woman reported that when she returned to her car after shopping on May 19, she found the word “bitch” spray painted on her car twice, according to a police report. The woman parked in the lot between Value City and Bed, Bath and Beyond at 6 p.m.; she then spent a half hour in Value City and 45 minutes in Bed, Bath and Beyond. When she returned to her car, she found the vulgar vandalism on her passenger side doors, the police report said.
The woman told police that she does not have any enemies or any idea of who would have done it, the report said. According to the report, there are no witnesses, suspects or video surveillance.
Counterfeit $100 bill found
An employee at the Hilton Garden Inn discovered a counterfeit $100 bill in the cash drawer on May 16, according to a police report. The employee found the bill around 4 p.m. and used a detector pen on the bill, which showed that it was counterfeit, the report said. The man said he did not know who had passed the bill and had not had a chance to speak to the day shift employees before contacting the police, the report said. The Novi Police then contacted the Secret Service and sent the $100 bill and a copy of the police report to them, the report said.

Catalytic converter stolen
The catalytic converter was stolen from a 2001 Oldsmobile Silhouette on May 20, according to a police report. The owner said he parked his car under the parking area in his apartment complex on Wilshire at midnight and discovered the converter was gone when he started he car at 2:30 p.m., the report said. There are no witnesses or suspects, the report said.
