30 Days Till School: Register for Before- and After-School Care

Each day of the month leading up to the first day of school, Patch will be bringing you useful back-to-school information, tricks, trends, tips and more.

Do you need to drop your child off earlier in the morning, or maybe pick them up a little bit later in the afternoon? Does your half-day kindergartener need all-day care?

For those parents whose schedules don't line up exactly with the school's schedule, our school districts offer several child care programs to fill the gaps.

In the Rochester district, care is available for kindergarteners through K-Club, elementary students through School Age Care, and middle school students through TEAMS (Teens Empowered After Middle School). In the Lake Orion district, care is available for children in kindergarten through fifth grade through the School Age Child Care/Latchkey program. You can register at the CERC Early Childhood Office at 455 East Scripps Road; please call 248-693-5439 for more information.

In the Romeo district, School Age Care is available for kindergarteners through 12-year-old students; middle school students are welcome to attend. For more information, call 586-752-0314; to download registration forms, click here.

Before- and after-school care is not free, and registration fees may apply; for pricing, call your child's school district.
