Getting healthy, being healthy, and living healthy are all things we hear about daily. Often times in order to be successful people need a support mechanism to help
them shed those pounds or kick that habit. Simple Organics and Phoenix Health and Fitness are stepping up to support residents in the local area to become more health conscious and active. Simple Organics, a health and wellness store in Oxford, has partnered with local personal trainer Gene Szpiech to offer a walking club for area residents. “Living a healthy lifestyle is so much easier when you have others around to support you in your efforts. Getting to walk several times a week with a personal trainer and a holistic practitioner is a great way
to begin,” stated Gene Szpiech, owner of Phoenix Health and Fitness.
The Simply Walking Group meets Tuesday and Thursday at 8:45 a.m. Members of the club will meet at Simple Organics located at 115 S. Washington St. in Oxford to begin their walk. The Simply Walking Group membership is $25 and includes a T-shirt, 30% off personal training services, and 10% off your purchase at Simple Organics, discounts at Aurora Borealis massage and other
area discounts.
Simple Organics has been successful in helping offer educational classes and holistic services to hundreds of area residents. “In April alone, 62 people took part in a spring detox class and then completed a 14 day detox together. They lost nearly 600 pounds total and many of them were able to combat ailments based on poor diet and nutrition. Our mission is to support healthy living and the walking club is just one more way to get people moving,” commented Troy Farwell, owner of Simple Organics.
