Community Members Help Students Embrace Reading Month
After a March packed with reading activities, Reading Month is coming to an end.
Community leaders, residents and staff pulled together in Lake Orion this month to show kids just how fun reading can be.
Special guests such as Board of Education members, Manager Paul Zelenak, Superintendent Marion Ginopolis and Chief Jerry Narsh spent time reading to Lake Orion students across the district during Reading Month. Parents, grandparents and even other students read to elementary and middle school students as well.
"It was a very exciting month for our students and our staff," Ginopolis said about Reading Month at Wednesday's Board of Education meeting.
