From pre-settlement in the early 1800’s to 1950….
Oakland Township Historical Society (OTHS) announces the opening of Goodison…our history centers on the mill, a local heritage exhibit at the Paint Creek Mill gallery on Saturday, October 1 at 10am. at the Paint Creek Cider Mill. Free and open to the public.

The society has worked to gather many types of historical materials to tell the story of Goodison beginning in the early 1800s with some amazing photographs and treasured memorabilia from a one-room schoolhouse, stores, blacksmith shop and township offices on display. Many items have never before been seen by the public.
- Read nine-year-old Vandy Decker's account of traveling from New York to Detroit in 1825 as her family made their way to northern Oakland County.

Visitors will also enjoy the Goodison Art Exhibit featuring the works of local artist work, young and old, depicting Goodison from every angle.
