The Art of the Cruise

Birmingham Gallery, a contemporary art and frame gallery it pleased to present for the month of August in honor of the Woodward Dream Cruise, “The Art of the Cruise” a collection of works by the leading automotive artists of Detroit. A public reception will be held on August 4, 2012 from 7pm-10pm.  

The artists will include Ken Taylor and Don Weiland; both are painters who worked professionally as illustrators before retiring and devoting themselves to the creation of fine art.  Patrick Costa is a fine arts photographer.

 David Chapple is a painter that describes his work as electric, colorful, and glitzy. Automobiles are the main focus of his work; he believes they play a crucial role in America’s nostalgic culture.

All four artists are exhibited and collected throughout the United States.

The Art of the Cruise will be on exhibit through August.  The Birmingham Gallery is located at 33772 Woodward Avenue in Birmingham, Michigan.  The gallery and full framing services are available Monday through Saturday 10-6pm and by appointment.
