Kids Show Off Spectacular Dance Moves At Annual Production

Almost 150 Stadium Drive Elementary School students participated in the performance.

In just three weeks students put together an impressive Dance Spectacular, showcasing a variety of dance moves to numerous beats.

Florence D'Annunzio, dance teacher at Stadium Drive, was pleased that 147 kids decided to take part in the production this year. Students school wide - kindergarten through fifth grade - could participate in the dance routine. D'Annunzio said that students had to commit to eight after school rehearsals to be a part of the performance.

"In the scope of what they did in the short amount of time, I'm so proud of them; so amazed at what they do," D'Annunzio said.

D'Annunzio noted that the students created the dances, which they performed Thursday, by using academic concepts that they have been covering in the classroom.

"They did their choreography and then I just took the pieces and put those together," D'Annunzio said. "I'm just the facilitator, like the puzzle maker."
