Library Offers Books on Martin Luther King Jr., Civil Rights Movement
The Rochester Hills Public Library is stocked with offerings for a wide range of reading levels on the topic.
There are dozens of books in stock at the revolving around the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. and the impact he had on civil rights.

- The author examines the life and death of King, his legacy and his impact on society as a whole.
6. Martin Luther King, Jr.: The Dream of Peaceful Revolution by Della Rowland
- Reading level: grades sixth through tenth
- A biography focusing on King's nonviolent attitude toward resolving issues, such as segregation.
7. Martin Luther King, Jr.: Apostle of Militant Nonviolence by James Colaico
- Reading level: adult
- A scholarly study of events which examines King's role in the Montgomery Bus Boycott, among other events and takes an in depth look at King's Letter From Birmingham Jail.
