Neighborhood House Asks Community to Help Make a Difference through the “Giving Tree”

Rochester Area Neighborhood House has kicked off their annual Holiday Giving program as they seek to bring the Holiday spirit to the lives of local children and families experiencing financial need. There are an unprecedented number of families in need this year and Neighborhood House wants to make sure their children experience some very special holiday memories. Neighborhood House will also be working with local churches to facilitate distribution of holiday food baskets for individuals and families in need. Donations will be accepted through December 9th.
Executive Director, Linda Riggs, noted that “Neighborhood House appreciates the giving spirit of the community and understands that local support is the key to the success of this program. The willingness to assist those neighbors still struggling in our community is greatly appreciated. Brightening a child’s world and bringing a smile to a small face on Christmas morning is an immeasurable gift in itself; we couldn’t do it without the help of our neighbors and our local community. We are extremely grateful for the generosity we have seen over the years and we hope that during this coming holiday season we can assist our neighbors who continue to struggle during difficult times.”
