Re-Create Recycled Art Show Opening Reception Draws Large Crowd

Dozens of community members and local artists attended the opening reception for Orion Art Center's annual exhibit.

On Wednesday, the hosted an opening reception for its 4th Annual Re-Create Recycled Art Show.

The theme for this year's Re-Create Recycled Art Show was the "Nature of Things" and artists worked hard to find a way to bring nature into their pieces. Lauren Dinneweth, director of the Orion Art Center, was pleased with the turnout Wednesday, saying that the art center was full with visitors. Likewise, Dinneweth was thrilled to have quite a few new people submit art work to this year's show.

Awards were distributed in a variety of categories to children, teen and adult participants Wednesday.
