Previously offered in a face-to-face space, the RISE Center’s (Recovery Information Support and Education) transition to a virtual setting has allowed for this valuable resource to continue support for Oakland County residents in recovery from a substance use disorder (SUD).
Oakland Community Health Network launched The RISE Center in 2017 to promote recovery for individuals by connecting them to community-based services. Since then, more than 11,000 people have taken advantage of this important community benefit.
“Knowing where, when, and how to get help is essential for people who want to take those first steps toward recovery from an addiction; the RISE Center helps people with all three,” explains OCHN Executive Director and CEO, Dana Lasenby. “The RISE Center is an excellent resource where people are greeted by culturally competent and respectful mental health professionals who prioritize their needs and offer life changing solutions.”
