• Fifth Third, Comerica merger leads to local branch closures (wilx.com) — A Fifth Third branch on Okemos Road in Okemos is among several local locations closing after Fifth Third’s merger with Comerica, which created the nation’s ninth-largest bank. The consolidation will shut five mid-Michigan branches overall, including additional sites in Lansing, Jackson, and Howell, as the combined company continues under the Fifth Third name.
