He’s helped move countless tons of material that ended up in local roads, buildings, and home foundations, and now plans to spend retirement fishing and enjoying family and friends. 
• Judge denies motion to dismiss charges against Gary Marken in Oxford Center explosion case (clickondetroit.com) — A judge has ruled that criminal charges will move forward against Oxford Center employee Gary Marken in connection with the fatal 2025 hyperbaric chamber explosion that killed a 5‑year‑old patient and injured his mother. The defense argues Marken wasn’t a safety decision‑maker, but the judge said a jury must decide his state of mind while an appeal temporarily pauses the case.
