• Livingston County overwhelmingly approves veteran millage renewal (livingstondaily.com) — Pinckney residents just approved a new millage for the Pinckney Community Public Library, raising its rate to 1.75 mills for eight years starting in 2027 and expected to generate about $960,000 in 2027. Voters also overwhelmingly renewed Livingston County’s veterans services millage and backed a reduced Howell Township road millage, securing continued funding for key local services.

• Dexter Twp: Zoning Board of Appeals Meeting 9/1/26 (thesuntimesnews.com) — Neighbors along Dexter-Pinckney Road should know Dexter Township’s Zoning Board of Appeals will hold a public hearing September 1 on a variance for rebuilding a home at 9433 Dexter-Pinckney Road, Pinckney 48169. Residents can review plans at Township Hall and share comments in person or by written statement before the meeting.

• Lyke, Banfield likely moving forward in race for 44th Circuit Court (livingstondaily.com) — A former Pinckney resident, attorney Kristina Lyke, is poised to advance to the November general election for Livingston County’s 44th Circuit Court judgeship alongside Andrea Banfield, based on unofficial primary results. The two edged out three other candidates in a tight, countywide race for the open seat overseeing serious criminal, civil, and family law cases.
