3 Men Intentionally Set Fire At The Former Psychiatric Hospital Site In Northville: Police
On May 11, officials found two vacant buildings in Northville's Legacy Park on Seven Mile Road fully engulfed in flames, police said.
NORTHVILLE TOWNSHIP, MI — Three men were charged with arson after prosecutors said they intentionally set a fire at the former state psychiatric hospital site in Northville Township.
Roland Green, 20, from Riley, was charged with two counts of arson in the third-degree and two counts of preparation to burn real property, officials said.
Cameron Purcell, 19, from Marine City, and Jakob Aquilina, 20, from Saginaw were each charged with two counts of third-degree arson, officials said.

If convicted, they could face up to ten years in prison or up to a $20,000 fine, according to Michigan law.

As officers arrived, they found five people trying to run away from police, but eventually arrested them and took them into questioning, officials said.
Northville psychiatric hospital closed in 2003, but has become an urban destination, especially around Halloween time. The main building was demolished in 2018.
