7 MSU Football Players Charged In Connection To Brawl: Officials

The charges were announced Wednesday by the Washtenaw County Prosecutor's Office.

MICHIGAN — Seven Michigan State football players are facing charges in connection to a brawl after the Michigan-Michigan State football game in October, according to the Washtenaw County Prosecutor's office.

Khary Crump was charged with felonious assault, Jacoby Windon was charged with assault and battery and Itayvion Brown, Angelo Grose, Justin White, Brandon Wright and Zion Young were each charged with aggravated assault, according to the prosecutor's office.

Police began investigating the incident after videos showed numerous Michigan State Spartan players pummeling Michigan's defensive backs Gemon Green and Ja’den McBurrows on Oct. 29, as both teams made their way to the locker rooms following a Spartan 29-7 loss to the Wolverines in the Big House.

An attorney representing Green said the student-athlete was hit with a helmet and suffered a concussion in the brawl.

Another lawyer representing one of the Michigan State Players told the Detroit Free Press a Wolverine started the fight in the tunnel as both teams were leaving the field.
