ANN ARBOR, MI — Ann Arbor firefighters put out multiple small fires after the Michigan Wolverines football team's championship win Monday night, according to fire officials.

Firefighters quickly extinguished 17 couch and debris fires that were mostly in the areas of South University, Hill and Washtenaw streets, according to fire officials.

No fires involved vehicles or buildings and no one was hurt, according to fire officials.

In addition, no arrests were made in connection with post-game celebrations, according to Ann Arbor Police.

The Michigan Wolverines defeated the Washington Huskies 34-13 Monday night in Houston to win their first national championship since 1997. The Wolverines finished the season 15-0.
