Blackwell Ford to celebrate community in grand re-opening event

PLYMOUTH, Mich. – Blackwell Ford will celebrate its grand re-opening by supporting the community that has been the main contributor to the dealership’s continued success.

Blackwell’s re-opening event will feature Ford Motor Company’s Drive 4 UR School program, an opportunity for guests to test drive a new Ford vehicle to earn a donation to the Plymouth Salem High School Football Boosters.

Drive 4 UR School gives the Plymouth community an opportunity to raise $6,000 for the Plymouth Salem Football Boosters at Blackwell Ford. The dealership will donate $20 for every test drive of a new vehicle. Additional funds can be raised for the booster program at the Quick Lane Tire and Auto Center of Plymouth with vehicle inspections. The dealership will donate $10 for any vehicle inspection.

“We have been in business since 1983 because of our community,” General Manager Ron Robertson said. “There is no better way to celebrate our grand re-opening than by giving back to the community to which we owe our longevity to.”

“I’m excited to bring people into our showroom to experience how awesome the new Ford products are,” New Vehicle Sales Manager Jim Whyte said. “It will be a lot of fun to see people get behind the wheel of a car they have been dreaming of, and have it all help local high school athletes.”

Refreshments, entertainment and hourly raffles are also available for attendees. For more information on the event, visit www.FordRSVP.com.

“We are grateful and proud to be a member of the Plymouth community,” Robertson said. “We enjoy supporting those who support us.”
