Boy, 2, Left Alone Twice in Unlocked Apartment: Police

The boy's mother also told police she was concerned about Facebook pictures and videos that showed the toddler in the bathroom.

CANTON, MI – Child Protective Services authorities are investigating reports that a 2-year-old boy was left alone twice in recent weeks in his father’s Canton apartment, police said.

Canton police were contacted Friday after the boy’s mother, who lives in Inkster, found the boy alone in the unlocked Canton Gardens apartment complex, The Canton Observer reports. A similar incident happened about a month ago, she reportedly said.

The boy’s mother said she was also concerned about pictures and a video that showed the boy in the bathtub and sitting on a toilet seat.

The boy’s father, 35, reportedly told police that he stepped outside briefly, leaving the child unsupervised.
