Canton Color Tour Jazz Series Fine-tunes Lineup for 11th Season
6 Weeks of Jazz on Fridays 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. July 8 - August 12
CANTON- Get ready to jazz up your summer by attending the 11th annual Canton Color Tour Jazz Series, a wonderfully entertaining event featuring great concerts for the whole family in Canton, Michigan. Several crowd favorites are back this year by popular request. The jazz series starts Friday July 8th, when talented jazz musicians will take center stage at different color-coded shopping center venues located along Ford Road. There are over 300 businesses in the Canton DDA District along Ford Road including retail shopping, department stores, health and professional services, financial institutions, auto supplies and services, a diverse selection of restaurants, sports and entertainment venues, and hotels.
Canton's Ford Road has an established way-finding system with color-coded street light banners for each block along the three-mile stretch of the Downtown Development Authority district. The color-coded blocks provide the perfect setting for the popular Canton Color Tour Jazz Series each Friday starting July 8th through August 12th. Merchants in or next to each designated concert color block will run specials starting on the day of the concert until the following Thursday. Lists of these specials will be available at the ShopCanton tent and posted each week on ShopCanton.org. Several of Ford Road’s restaurants are offering special Jazzy Carryout on concert Fridays. Remember to say “ShopCanton” when placing your order!
As always, this event is free to the public. Each concert begins promptly at 7:00 p.m., but come early to start the night off with dinner at one of the many fine restaurants in the local area or grab some Jazzy Carryout to enjoy during the show.
The Canton DDA in cooperation with Canton Leisure Services and the Canton Chamber of Commerce host the Canton Color Tour Jazz Series.
