Chiefs blank Dakota to go 2-0 in tournament.

CHELSEA — The  hockey team wrapped up its visit to the first-ever Michigan Public High School Hockey Showcase by shutting down Macomb Dakota 8-0.

The game was called because of the eight-goal mercy rule less than a minute into the third period following a score by the Chiefs’ Jimmy LaFontaine.

“This makes us feel good. We’ve been playing good hockey this past month,” Canton coach Jeremy Majszak said.
