Canton Man, 55, Hit, Killed By Car While Crossing Ford Road: Police

Investigators do not believe alcohol played a factor in the crash, police said.

CANTON TOWNSHIP, MI — A Canton man was killed Tuesday night after he was hit by a car while crossing Ford Road, according to police.

Police said the 55-year-old Canton man was walking across Ford Road near Lilley Road at 9:22 p.m. when he was hit by a westbound black Chevy Malibu that was driven by a 23-year-old Ypsilanti man.

The 55-year-old Canton man, whose name was not released, was killed in the crash, police said.
