Christmastime Tornado? Hazardous Weather Possible
The weather could feel more like springtime than Christmas as a cold front brings potentially hazardous weather to Metro Detroit.

METRO DETROIT, MI – The National Weather Service says severe thunderstorms and even a tornado are possible late Wednesday night as a cold front moves through southeast Michigan.
Affected counties include Oakland, Wayne, Macomb, Livingston, Genesee and Washtenaw.
Drizzle could give way to thunderstorms throughout the day, according to the weather service. The primary threat is damaging winds of up to 60 mph.

Wednesday’s high is predicted to be around 60 degrees.

Christmas Eve: A 30 percent chance of scattered showers, mainly before 7 a.m., then mostly sunny with the temperature falling to around 46 by 9 a.m.; breezy with a southwest wind 11 to 21 mph, with gusts as high as 34 mph. Mostly cloudy overnight, with a low around 36 and southwest wind around 6 mph becoming calm in the evening
Christmas: Partly sunny, with a high near 45; calm wind becoming west around 6 mph in the afternoon; mostly cloudy, with a low around 36.
Saturday: A 60 percent chance of showers after 8 a.m., mostly cloudy with a high near 48; cloudy with showers likely overnight and a low around 40.
Sunday: Cloudy with showers likely, mainly before 8 a.m., and a low around 40; a chance of showers before 8 p.m., then mostly cloudy with a low around 30.
