Comcast names Parvathy Hariharan vice president of customer experience in Michigan, Indiana and Kentucky

Hariharan will oversee Comcast's efforts to implement the company's multi-year strategy to transform the customer experience

Comcast has appointed Parvathy Hariharan to vice president of customer experience strategy for the company’s Heartland region which includes Michigan, Indiana and Kentucky. She is based in Plymouth.

In this role, Hariharan oversees the Heartland region’s efforts to implement the company’s multi-year strategy to transform the customer experience and to create a culture focused on exceeding customers’ expectations. The plan centers on looking at every decision through a customer lens and making measureable changes and improvements across the three-state region which serves more than 1.9 million customers and has more than 4,000 employees.

Hariharan comes to Comcast from Deloitte Consulting LLP in Detroit, where she held several leadership positions. She has significant experience in building customer retention strategies for major clients. She also led essential work for clients that included researching and developing new markets, building commercial pricing structures and creating customer account management systems.

“We’ve made progress toward our goal to make customer service our #1 product, and Parvathy’s leadership will be critical as we move forward with this priority,” said Tim Collins, senior vice president for Comcast’s Heartland region. “Parvathy’s experience will help us synchronize our efforts across all departments to move this critical mission forward.”

Hariharan earned a Bachelor of Engineering degree from the University of Madras in Chennai, India, as well as a Master of Business Administration in Finance and Marketing from Michigan State University.
