With temperatures near 100 degrees today, Compuware Arena is helping area residents beat the sweltering heat by expanding its open-skate hours at its Olympic-sized rink, which originally were slated to run through Friday. The new hours are available <a href="http://www.frontline-connect.com/monthlyEvents.cfm?fac=compuware&amp;facid=1&amp;session=43" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">on the arena's website</a>.
