The Charter Township of Plymouth will again be offering a Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day. This event is open to PLYMOUTH TOWNSHIP RESIDENTS ONLY. Valid Driver’s license or MI State ID is required. THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH HAS ELECTED NOT TO CO-SPONSOR THIS YEAR’S EVENT, AND CITY RESIDENTS SHOULD CONTACT THEIR MUNICIPAL OFFICES FOR OTHER DISPOSAL OPTIONS. The collection will take place on Saturday, May 14, 2011 from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Compuware Sports Arena located at 14900 Beck Road, just north of the M-14 expressway. Some of the acceptable wastes include paints/stains, medicines (non-controlled substances), automotive fluids, batteries, computer equipment, propane cylinders, fertilizers, herbicides and pesticides. We will NOT ACCEPT televisions, VCR’s, smoke detectors, fire extinguishers, tires, radioactive materials, PCB’s, ammunition and fireworks, medical waste.
