Michigan Philharmonic Presents 'Miniature Masterpieces'

The Michigan Philharmonic holds its January concert, "Miniature Masterpieces," at St. John's Seminary Chapel. The performance is more intimate in scale, yet the music is not.

You'll hear Claude Debussy's "Prelude to the Afternoon of a Faun" and Gustav Mahler's "Songs of a Wayfarer." Melody Racine, chair of the University of Michigan's voice department, will be the mezzo soprano soloist.

You'll also hear Percy Grainger's Irish jig "Molly on the Shore," Rossini's "Serenata per Piccolo Complesso" and Prokofiev's "Overture on Hebrew Themes."
