Police Investigating I-96 Road Rage Shooting In Wayne County
There were no injuries and no arrests have been made in connection with the shooting, according to police.
LIVONIA, MI — Police are investigating a Tuesday road rage shooting that happened on Interstate 96 in Livonia.
The shooting happened at 4:40 p.m. in the eastbound lanes on the freeway between Middlebelt and Inkster roads in Livonia, according to police.
The altercation started when the victim told troopers that she made a right turn onto the eastbound Interstate 96 service drive from Farmington Road using a designated right-turn lane, according to police.

Another vehicle made an illegal right turn at the same time, and the victim said she had to brake to avoid a crash, according to police.
After the near crash, the victim said she merged onto the eastbound Interstate 96 and moved into the far-left lane, according to police.

The suspect's vehicle also merged onto the freeway behind her, accelerated and pulled alongside in the left-center lane, according to police.
That's when the victim told troopers that she heard multiple gunshots, though none struck her or her vehicle, according to police.
The suspect's vehicle then sped away, according to police.
There were no injuries and no arrests have been made in connection with the shooting, according to police.
"Troopers are continuing to investigate those incident," Michigan State Police First Lt. Mike Shaw said. "While no one was hit by these rounds, it is ridiculous that we continue to see people try to settle a traffic dispute with a gun."
