The Michigan Philharmonic presents "Russian Fireworks" featuring "Symphony No. 5" by Shostakovich, Glinka's "Rusian and Ladmilla" overture, Borodin's "Polovtsian Dances" along with a world premiere of "Polovtsia" by Michael Gilbertson.
A pre-concert reception will be held from 6-7 p.m., followed by an onstage concert talk from 7-7:30 p.m. The concert begins at 7:30 p.m.
