Although officials said the young girl was "visibly shaken up," she wasn't seriously injured in the incident.

WESTLAND, MI — A young girl was struck by a golf cart Friday at Westland's Blues, Brews and BBQ event after a dog pushed downed the accelerator, according to Westland fire officials.

Officials said the fire department’s Arson Dog, Bella, was sitting in the front seat of a golf cart with a firefighter next to her in the passenger seat.

Bella then jumped onto the floor and laid down across the accelerator pedal, sending the golf forward as officials tried steering it away from people, officials said.
