When it serves Kurt Heise's interests,he plays hardball tactics.But when Kurt Heise fails to follow the law, he screams foul.Kurt Heise is a lawyer, a state representative,and the Chair of the Criminal Justice Committee in the State House.But when it comes to following state statute,a complaint filed with the county clerk and township clerk Kurt Heise failed to fill out his affidavit properly.
According to state statute, candidates must fill in all important information including the precinct where they are registered to vote.Failure to do that disqualifies someone being listed from the ballot.

Kurt Heise knows about ballot challenges.In April 2014, Heise got his state employee Sue Brams to file a challenge against a would-be challenger,Delicia Coleman Taylor to his wife Catherine Heise when she ran for judge in 2014.Brams who serves as Heise's state paid legislative staffer,treasurer for his state representative committee and treasurer committee,and volunteer for all Heise political activities filed the successful challenge with the Secretary of State and successfully got Delicia Coleman Taylor off the ballot.Heise has orchestrated a successful ballot challenge so Heise is no stranger to using the law to get someone thrown off the ballot
