LaJoy Calls Canton's Future 'Stellar'; Do You Share His Bright Outlook?
In his 7th State of the Township address, the supervisor said Wednesday Canton has bounced back since the recession.

Calling Canton a growing hub for business and arts, Supervisor Phil LaJoy described the community’s current status as vibrant with a promising future during his State of the Township on Wednesday, according to a HometownLife report.
This was LaJoy’s seventh State of the Township address, and he gave it at a Canton Chamber of Commerce event at The Village Theater at Cherry Hill.
LaJoy said the township was able to weather rocky financial times during the recent recession when Canton faced a $20 million revenue loss, the report stated. He gave the credit for that to Canton’s leaders and municipal workers, who were able to tighten budget belts during those years, the report added.

According to LaJoy, Canton is economically ”bruised but not broken,” and the community’s low crime rate and outstanding government services put the township in a good position going forward, the report stated:
“I can tell you now, with certainty, that the state of Canton Township, financial and otherwise, is absolutely great. We are on solid ground and poised for a stellar future.”
