Local Preschool in South Lyon "Stuffs the Bus" to help families

The Learning Experience raises $2,000 to help families during the holiday season

The Learning Experience®, one of the nation’s fastest-growing Academies of Early Education for children six weeks to six years old, in South Lyon hosted a “Holiday Stuff the Bus” event and raised over $2,000 worth of toys and donations for children and families in need. The event took place on Friday, December 8th, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at 53318 10 Mile Road in South Lyon, Mich.

In line with The Learning Experience’s first-of-its-kind proprietary philanthropy curriculum and in the spirit of giving during this year’s holiday season, attendees were encouraged to bring gifts for children and mothers of a local domestic violence shelter including clothing, toiletries, gift cards, toys, and monetary donations, and other necessary items. All donations were then “stuffed in a bus” and taken to the shelter. Event sponsors included Grande Trunke of South Lyon, The Coral Sash of South Lyon, Venue of South Lyon, and Tim Hortons.

“We are grateful for the great support we received from our community and we are proud that we were able to have such a huge impact on families in need,” said Sarah Leece, Center Director of The Learning Experience in South Lyon. “We are so happy to be able to spread love and hope within our community during this season.”
