MOD Pizza Partners with Livonia Education Foundation to Host Two-Day Back-to-School Benefit

MOD Pizza, an individual artisan style pizzeria highly regarded as the pioneer of the fast-casual pizza concept, announced today that it will partner with the Livonia Public Schools (LPS) Education Foundation for an exclusive, two-day only back-to-school benefit on August 22-23 from 10:30 a.m.-11 p.m. at its Livonia MOD Pizza, 13229 Middlebelt Road. TSFR Brand Leader of MOD Pizza Jake Schostak made the announcement.

As part of the benefit, MOD Pizza will donate 10 percent of all guests’ food sales to the LPS Education Foundation. Guests will also be able to purchase MOD-branded back-to-school kits, which include notebooks, pencils and folders, for $5. For every kit sold, $3 will be donated back to the LPS Education Foundation to further aid the organization in its mission to provide financial support to the district for innovative programs and services.

MOD's individual artisan-style pizzas are made on demand, allowing customers to create their own pizzas and salads, using fresh-pressed dough, signature sauces and over 30 toppings, for one price. Each pizza is hand-cooked in an 800-degree oven in five minutes or less, and salads are hand-tossed in front of the customer. MOD Pizza also serves local draft beers, wine, handspun milkshakes and house-made lemonades and iced teas.

In late 2014, TSFR announced its plans to launch 25 MOD Pizza locations in Michigan over the next five years.
