New Supervisor Price Can't Be Bothered To Listen To Plymouth Township Residents

After promising to listen to residents, Price get's caught playing with his smartphone while township residents are trying to voice concerns

Shannon Price, the man with the weakest resume, the man with the worst educational background of the eight candidates, the man with the weakest job experience of the eight candidates, the man who showed up with a bunch of thugs from outside our township in general, and the Wayne 11 Republican Committee in particular, was named the new Plymouth Township Supervisor.

Shannon Price spoke at the interview, telling the board that he would begin his job by listening if he were to be fortunate enough to be named Plymouth Township Supervisor. He promised that he would listen to the board, the employees, and most importantly, the citizens of our community. Well if you look at the picture above, it was taken about 5 minutes after he was appointed Supervisor. When the picture was taken, the Plymouth Township residents were at the podium giving their public comments. He couldn’t be bothered to listen to our community. He was most likely posting on his Facebook page, bragging about his new appointment. It’s a shame that he doesn’t have the self awareness to avoid this stuff.

He broke his biggest promise just five minutes into his tenure as Supervisor as far as I am concerned. Sure, he doesn’t officially take office until April 6th, but he darn well should have been listening to our taxpayers. The folks who are now forced to shell out $111,000 a year to him and his family. It was the ultimate show of disrespect to our whole community, and it is what we are going to get until he gets voted out of office in 2016. And make no mistake, he will not survive that primary election.

Big Ron Edwards used to be the most hated man in Plymouth Township, but going by the visceral hate that was shown to Mr. Price, I think it is safe to say that Mr. Price has just taken on the mantle of the most hated man in Plymouth Township.

Don’t get me wrong, the taxpayers are plenty mad at Ron Edwards, Nancy Conzelman, Kay Arnold, and Mike Kelly, there is definitely enough hate to go around, but Shannon is a marked man. Dead man walking come election time.

Shannon did not just disrespect our citizens by playing with his phone when they were trying to speak, I also watched him make a face at the very first township resident who spoke tonight. The resident had the temerity to make note of Shannon’s short time living in the township, which is less than 3 months. It is this kind of disrespect that we will have to deal with from this guy until he gets himself voted out of office along with his little flock of four.

He actually disrespected the board as well, but they are too stupid to notice stuff like this. I do. While all of the other candidates came in to the meeting, and respectfully took seats near the front, Shannon stood in the back of the room among all of his friends from outside the township. He looked like the kid in class that was too cool to sit in a seat. Very unprofessional. Very disrespectful. It’s funny, because he used the word respect an awful lot during his interview. Maybe he should grab a dictionary and look up the meaning of that word.

Shannon Price walked into the room tonight glad handing all of his posse members that he has been bringing to the meetings. He was smirking, and making faces when our citizens were trying to speak, and you could tell that he knew he was going to win. He knew he was going to win, and you couldn’t have knocked the smile off of his face with a sledgehammer.

When he won though, he had the look like he hadn’t won a thing. The anger in that room was palpable. I have been to countless meetings of this Board of Trustees, and I have never seen such anger, such hatred. Shannon’s smirk was gone. It was replaced by anger, and even a little fear. I was watching him carefully all night, and he actually looked afraid. He should be afraid.

He should be afraid, because this anger is not going to go away any time soon. The meetings are going to be exponentially more hostile, and there isn’t a thing he will be able to do about it. He will forever be known as the carpetbagger. He will forever be known as the guy who sold his soul to Big Ron Edwards. He can bring all of the outsiders, and all of the thugs he wants to his meetings, and folks will still show up, and the anger will never abate.

We don’t like you Mr. Price. We don’t like how you went about getting this job, and just like we did with Richard Reaume, we will remove you from your fancy new office...
