PLYMOUTH, MI — A parent is facing charges after police said he threatened to shoot up Smith Elementary School in Plymouth while picking up his child from an after-school program, according to a report from WDIV.
Stephen Constantine Fernimos pleaded not guilty to the malicious use of a telephone and the intentional threat to commit an act of violence against a school, according to the report. He was released on $10,000 bond and is due back in court on Jan. 13.
Fernimos was mad that he couldn't find his child for the 6 p.m. pickup on Nov. 28 when he made the threat, which was caught on speaker from a nearby parent who was on the phone with the district, according to the report.
