  1. Plymouth city officials announced Tuesday that CSX Railroad plans to repair the crossing on North Main Street near Theodore Street. Construction crews will begin repairing the crossing tracks Monday, Aug. 29 at 8 a.m. Both directions of North Main Street will be closed during the work, which is expected to take between 10-14 days, city officials said.   2. People from across metro Detroit gathered inside an auditorium at Wayne County Community College in Detroit on Monday to challenge a proposed DTE Energy rate hike. (Detroit Patch)
  3. A man died Monday night after he was struck by a car in Huron Township, Michigan State Police said. Troopers said they were called to the southbound lanes on Interstate 275 at Sibley Road around 10:20 p.m. (Plymouth-Canton Patch)
