Plymouth Pulls Out Win for 1st District Baskeball Title

The Wildcats advance to Monday night's regional semifinals, facing Holly.

A crucial turnover and two clutch free throws gave Plymouth High School’s boys basketball program its first-ever Class A district title with a win Friday night over Northville, 47-46, according to a HometownLife report.

Junior Brent Davis knocked down the tying and winning baskets from the free-throw line with less than 30 seconds on the clock, the report stated. He was fouled after a Northville turnover by Josh Reynolds, who hit the 3-pointer that put the Wildcats within a point, the report added.

Plymouth (16-6) will now face Holly (20-2) in the regional semifinals at 7:30 p.m. Monday.
